Cook County Democrats Meet to Discuss Retention of Judges

Based on its investigation and subsequent deliberations, the Judicial Retention Committee recommended without dissent that the Cook County Democratic party find Judge Matthew Coghlan “not recommended” for retention based on an independent investigation, which included courtroom observation as well as in person and phone interview with the judges.

Cook County Democrats Make History by Selecting First Woman and First African American to Lead Party

Today, the Cook County Democrats made history by selecting the first woman and first African American to lead the largest Democratic party in the Midwest. A unanimous vote by all eighty wards and township committeemen elected Cook County President Toni Preckwinkle as the new Chair.
