Brendan O’Brien for Circuit Court Judge

Brendan O'Brien is an experienced civil trial lawyer who has been practicing in the Circuit Court of Cook County for over 19 years. He recently successfully tried a long medical malpractice case within days of slating by the Cook County Democratic Party.

He was previously the co-chair of the Chicago Bar Association Civil Practice Committee for two years and has been active as a guest lecturer at various Chicago Public Schools, including the Chicago Air Force Academy, Julian High School, Jones College Prep and Shields Elementary School. He was also recognized twice as an Illinois Super Lawyer Rising Star and won an award for his commitment to diversity by the Illinois Asian American Bar Association.

Mr. O'Brien was also found Well Qualified by the Chicago Council of Lawyers which noted that he had "very good legal ability and [was] praised for being a hardworking, well prepared practitioner. He [was] reported to have excellent litigation skills and his integrity [was] unquestioned."

Mr. O'Brien is also a life-long resident of Cook County and life-long member of the Cook County and Illinois Democratic Party, having previously worked for the Illinois Democratic House Majority under Speaker Michael Madigan as an analyst prior to going to law school.

Finally, Mr. O'Brien is married and the father of three active daughters and he has coached their various sports teams for the last 12 years.
