Jack Hagerty

Represents public and privately held corporations and various units of local government in a wide array of complex litigation in state and federal courts. Represents both plaintiffs and defendants in complex civil litigation including class actions, commercial disputes, employment-related litigation and claims for injunctive relief. Handles matters before the Judicial Inquiry Board, the Chicago Board of Elections, and the Illinois Court of Claims.

Administrative proceedings include matters with FINRA and the Illinois Department of Securities. Lead counsel for the City of Chicago in a constitutional challenge to the City’s M/WBE Ordinance in Construction, the trial of which resulted in one of the first wins ever recorded for a municipality in such a case. Represented the interests of Chicago Public Schools in a variety of complex educational cases.
